Cheryl Miller, Virginia This Morning
What fun I had today with host Cheryl Miller and all over at Central Virginia’s Ch6/WTVR’s Virginia This Morning. Thanks everyone who watched as I talked
about I’ll Never Let You Go, how baking helps me creatively, and a bit about my research into both the Nashville setting and the serious topic of stalking, which is a key element of the story. If you missed the show when it was broadcast and streamed live, you can check it out at wtvr.com.
While I was there, I had planned to share one of the recipes I’m making for the Thanksgiving holiday but critical issues intervened as eyes and ears turned to President Obama and his press conference live from the G20 Conference in Turkey.
However, I did go ahead and bake it and the show taped the demonstration to air sometime in the next week. I’ll let you know when the segment is available, but in the meantime, here’s the recipe. I hope you, your friends and loved ones enjoy it as we all pause to give thanks.
Pumpkin Bread To Die For
2 cups all-purpose flour
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 cups sugar
1 cup corn oil
4 eggs
2 cups canned pumpkin
Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl blend sugar and oil and then mix in eggs one at a time. Add pumpkin to oil/sugar mixture. Add dry ingredients and blend until smooth. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes in a 9” x 4.5” bread pan lined with parchment paper.

Yes, it’s that time again. Time to take a break from writing to thank everyone for supporting my latest book, I’LL NEVER LET YOU GO. So thanks for letting me know what you think of the new book and for making it a #59 USA Today bestseller in its first, partial week on sale. I’m celebrating the way I often do–by giving away some books. This time, I’m not telling what’s coming. I’ll be packing up a “grab bag” of titles that I hope will be enjoyed and shared. Good luck!
